Chapter 4
Its alive!

Excited, I brought my new game home and opened the back to see what was inside right in the driveway.

It was pretty much what I expected. The computer, the USB the gun interface, a monitor, and a lot of wiring. I what I didn’t expect, was to find a manual, the restoration disc, and the reason why the machine appeared dead during the auction.

A terminal strip, sitting at the bottom of the cabinet, had unplugged power supplies! Seems that the better way to run this game, is to use the computer and its own power supply, and an additional power supply to run the USB to Gun. I plugged everything in and the game booted and played as normal. After a round or two, I decided I wanted to add this game to my collection of shooting games, but I have no games in my collection that boot directly off a standard computer, so I wanted to do better.

It was now time for a side project of reducing the size of the gaming component of American army.
