Auction 62
After a canceled show some months ago because of a huge dumping of
snow, Super Auctions made its way back for another
Tuesday night auction. Some of my collection friend made the statement
that the show sucked, but for me it was
great! It was one of those shows were you can get a working machine
for 10 - 50 bucks rather then hundreds. A perfect
mix for a collector needing projects, parts and supplies.
The flyer stated that the bulk of the auction would be from closed
TILT arcades. But that would lead me to expect
more deluxe games and newer titles. This was not the selection at this
auction. What was there was lots of converted
19 machines with dedicated and 25 inch machines few and far between. A
broken Sit-down Harley Davidson was probably
the most current machine there. There was a working Daytona single
that went pretty cheep (still on of my all time
favorites), but the case was falling apart so bad, I would be
surprised if it made it out the door in one piece
Over all a good auction as I took home 5 machines myself. (One of them
being the Berserk) :-). A fellow collector
took the Asteroids that turn out to only need a 15 volt regulator to
get it going again. I hope Super Auctions
decides to spend more time in NJ as there location is better the
Atlantic City are chosen by US Amusements.
